Tinctures, what are they?

Updated: Jan 13, 2021

The extraction process of medicinal properties from a plant. Typically extracted using a alcohol solution. Traces of the plant are then absorbed into the solution at a highly concentrated level. Some of my Favorite tinctures include, Arnica Montana, Calendula, Licorice root, Lavender, Milk Thistle, Oregano and Rosemary. Tinctures can be used topically or Ingested depending on the need. simply place fresh or dried herbs into an air tight jar and fill with Alcohol (at least 40%), (80 proof) and let sit for a minimum of 6 weeks while remembering to give a swirl or shake weekly. strain & BOOM! you now have a medicinal extract! Tinctures can be used for skin irritations, infections, viruses, bacterial infections, cold sores, indigestion, sore muscles, sprains and so much more.
